Dramaturgic plan for season 2025/2026
The Švandovo divadlo is in great shape. In the 2025/2026 season, it will offer four new productions about family relationships!
A total of four premieres and a new project of three stage readings are being prepared by the Švanda Theatre in Prague's Smíchov district in the 2025/2026 season. "All new titles are connected by the theme of family viewed from different perspectives and with different genre definitions," says Martin Františák, the theatre's artistic director. "The common denominator is also the clash of the individual with society and its setting, its order," adds Františák, who has been successfully working with the Švanda Theatre for the 6th theatre season. The theatre is set to make a number of guest appearances abroad: next season it plans to visit Toronto, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
