Dramaturgic plan for season 2025/2026
The Švandovo divadlo is in great shape. In the 2025/2026 season, it will offer four new productions about family relationships!
The Švanda Theatre in Prague's Smíchov district is preparing a total of three premieres in the 2025/2026 season, and a new project of three stage readings is planned for the following season.
"All new titles are connected by the theme of family viewed from different perspectives and with different genre definitions," says Martin Františák, the theatre's artistic director. "The common denominator is also the clash of the individual with society and its setting, its order," adds Františák, who has been successfully working with the Švanda Theatre for 6 theatre seasons. The theatre is set to make a number of guest appearances abroad: this season it plans to visit Toronto, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
