THEATRE FOR CHILDREN!
Radim Vizváry: Paperboy; Tomato and Cucumber: In the Fridge
16th March 2019 3 PM and 5 PM Main Hall
The imagination of a child can bring to life even simple everyday objects like a piece of paper. In our performance, the imagination of the young narrator is sparked by a large roll of paper. While he examines the clean and malleable material, stories appear that the paper tells. The narrator enters this world of paper, where he meets a small boy who becomes his guide. Together, they set off on a voyage of discovery before quickly finding that tension and danger may also be lurking.
This non-verbal fairytale with minimalist set design engages the audience’s imagination. In the hands of an experienced puppeteer and mime Radim Vizváry, paper is transformed onstage into fantastic scenes from a fairytale world and children in the audience are invited through gestures to play a part.
The performance is designed for children aged 4+.

Tomato and Cucumber: In the Fridge
The botanic-psychological society is shocked by a unique discovery made by a secluded group of scientist. By inserting stings of DNA from other living organisms, the researchers were able to change the behavior of vegetables. Now ordinary vegetables display principal emotional and motoric functions even while stored in your household. Did you know, that there is life in your fridge?
The first results will be demonstrated during public observation of Tomato and Cucumber.
Mime performance designed for children aged 8+.
